abstract: The aim of this work was to prove that the bees body and multiflower honey accumulate toxic elements. Treatment was made in 2 areas of Brzeg district (Opole province). The first area was near troops airfield of Soviet Union in Brzeg, the second one was agricultural and forest region. It was found that there are toxic elements (Pb, Cd, Cr, Ni, Se) in wide range of concentration at both kinds of samples. The higher contents of these elements were found in bees workers bodies from the airfield area. Honey samples, regardless of the region of origin, were characterised with low concentrations of toxic elements. The contents of toxic elements in bees bodies are dependent on the concentration of these elements in honey.
