abstract: The oxidoreductase enzymes are involved in the respiration metabolism of soil microorganisms. Soil dehydrogenases, active in intact cells, represent the total oxidative activity of microbial populations in soil. The enzyme catalase has a detoxifying function in cells by catalyzing the reaction of the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. |
