abstract: In a pot experiment the influence of fertilization by waste activated sludge and mineral fertilizers (NPK) as standard on the content of Mn, Mo, B, Li, Ba, Sr and Ti in the leaves and stalks in the biomass of Miscanthus sacchariflorus was studied in the first year of cultivation. On the basis of yield and the content of determined elements the uptake was calculated. Leaves contained significantly higher content than stems of all determined elements except barium. The highest value of uptake of Mn, Li, Ba, Sr and Ti was observed in the leaves of Miscanthus sacchariflorus harvested from the object fertilized with waste activated sludge in the dose of 20% (fresh matter) in relation to the soil mass. The uptake of the determined elements calculated for stalks increased with increasing the dose of waste activated sludge.
