abstract: Field experiment was carried out over the years 2000-2003 at Agricultural Experimental station at Swadzim near Poznań. Two methods of fertilisation were applied: broadcasting and in rows, simultaneously with sowing of seeds. The effectiveness of fertilisation methods was estimated at increasing levels of fertilisation, from 17.4 kg P ha-1 to 56.7 kg P ha-1. The band fertilization enhanced the positive influence of temperature on the dry mass of aboveground parts of one plant, yield of dry mass of aboveground parts of plants, difference between dry mass of 1 plant and yield of dry mass of plants, and uptake of N, P and K in comparison to broadcast fertilization in time from sowing to the stage of 6-7 leaves.
