abstract:
The paper focuses on the study of relationship between the seed losses at mechanical harvest and susceptibility of bean pods to cracking. Field measurements showed differentiation of varieties according to losses in from of seeds loos caused by harvest machines. This shows different susceptibility on cracking of bean pods. Largest losses of seeds were recorded for varieties with highest pods susceptibility on cracking in laboratory conditions. The pick-up attachment of pick-up trailer was responsible for highest seed losses and was 94.2% for Aura and 98.2% for Prosna. Therefore should be done changes in construction and working parameters of this machine attachment.
