abstract: Abstract. The main scientific problem addressed in this paper concerns the effect of irrigation and mineral fertilisation on the quality and quantity of cherry and plum fruits. According to the current hypothesis, these plants are the most sensitive to deficit of water, and application of supplemental irrigation can bring a high productive effect. In the years 2003-2005, a two-factor field experiment was set up in RSD Lipnik near Stargard Szczeciński on a sandy soil (good rye complex). All experiments were conducted on trees 4 years after planting. Yielding of tested species on the irrigated fields was higher. Productive effect of irrigation was higher on fertilised fields.
