abstract: Field experiments with triticale cv. Woltario were conducted in the years 2001-2003 at the Experimental Station Grabów belonging to the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute. Plots were located on good wheat soil complex. The experiment included sowing densities of 100, 200, 300, 400 seeds per m2 and 3 nitrogen application methods. The biggest grain yield was obtained under planting density 200 seeds per 1m2. Nitrogen fertilisation dose 120 kg ha-1 is recommended to be applied in period of beginning of vegetation and shooting.
