abstract: The paper presents results of air temperature measurement (mean, maximum, minimum) measured by classical methods (mercury thermometers) and automatic meteorological station (Campbell CR23X). Data were derived from Agro- and Hydrometeorology Observatory Wroclaw-Swojec during the period 2000-2006. For maximum and minimum temperature ten-day mean values were analysed, for mean temperature also mean daily temperature in ten-day periods which had the biggest and the smallest differences between the two methods were considered. Mean daily values from the classical station were compared with the same mean values basing on results of measure-ment from the automatic station for 24 hours and 4 terminal values which were also used to compute the mean daily temperature for manual measurement. Linear regressions analysis proved an essen-tial relation between the two methods. The smallest differences in the ten-day values were noted for mean temperature, bigger for maximum, and the biggest for minimum temperature.
