abstract: Changes in selected quality indices of two winter wheat varieties (Rysa, Mobela) subjected to pre-sowing laser stimulation (He-Ne laser) applying 1, 2, and 3 seed radiation were evaluated. The 1000-grain weight, vitreousness, protein and gluten contents, as well as sedimentation index and sedimentation number were determined in grains and flour of studied varieties. Achieved results were statistically processed. The varieties reaction to laser light radiation depended on the number of events. For Rosa cv., an increase of 1000-grain weight was recorded, and the extent of the change depended on the number of radiation events. Both studied varieties reacted with a decrease of sedimentation number value as compared to not-radiated grain. Mobela cv. manifested an increase of vitreous grains percentage after two radiations in reference to the control. Values of other technological quality parameters were modified after laser stimulation, but those changes were not statistically significant.
