abstract: The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of NaCl (25, 50, 75, 100 and 150 mmol dm-3) on micronutrient concentration in leaves and roots of seedlings of wheat cv. Almari grown in solution culture under controlled conditions. It was found that the effects of salinity on the concentrations of Mn, Fe and Zn in plants were compound. It was observed that with increasing of NaCl concentration in the medium Mn content in dry matter of leaves decreased and in roots increased. The presence of NaCl in a medium influenced slightly the changes of contents Fe and Zn in leaves of seedlings of wheat as compared to control plants. It was noted also that in roots of winter wheat seedlings with the increasing concentration of salt in a medium Fe content decreased but Zn accumulation increased. The Fe/Mn ratio in the leaves increased but decreased in the roots.
