abstract: The examinations were carried out on samples of a soil derived from loess, taken from 7 points within a study area under diversified land use: arable land, orchard, fallow land, voluntary afforesting and forest. In soil samples measurements of grain size distribution, pH in KCl, Corg and N total content, crushing strength and water stability of soil aggregates were carried out. The relationship of crushing strength on sand and clay content and beneficial influence of Corg on aggregates water stability were observed.
