Amphibians of Goleniów Forest intraforest water-holes

abstract: This paper presents the results of researches conducted in the intraforest water-holes situated in Kliniska Forest District (on the north-east from Szczecin) in 1999-2003 years. The results of phytosociological observations show the great diversity of plants. There are 201 species of plants recognized, witch belong to 56 families. The most common are Asteraceae, Caryophyllaceae, Cyperaceae, Poaceae, Polygonaceae and Rosaceae. There were also recognized 10 species of amphibians (Rana sp., Bufo sp., Pelobates sp., Bombina sp., Triturus sp.), which all are under the law protection in Poland and one of them is under the law protection in European Union. The characteristic features of water-holes were compared with the divercity of amphibians’ species. The favourable water-holes for amphibians are these with the ecoton zone around them. The most popular zone were consisted of plants’ species, which are connected with Fraxino-Alnetum, Betuletum pubescentis, Salicetum albo-fragilis.
