abstract: Using unpublished results of field experiment carried out in experimental stations COBORU located in northern part of the country the analysis of straw and seeds yield depending upon development phases lengths and sg term of their occurrence. Mean sowing term in this region occurred on 18 April. Earlier or 2 weeks later sowing did not influence flax yield. Straw yield depended on development phase length particularly between emergence and beginning of flowering. Shortening of this period turned out advantageous for high seeds yield, such as enlargement of flax generative development period. Ratio of vegetative to generative development length allowed to determine their influence on straw and seeds yielding. At similar lengths of these periods at the ratio 1:0,848 the high yield of seeds was noticed, while for straw yield this ratio fluctuated in a wide range and did not influence yielding.
