abstract: Based on 20 year field investigation on fibre flax the analysis of influence of precipitation and its number of days on seeds and straw yield was carried out. For distinguished development stages the intervals of optimal precipitation were determined. Differentiation of water demand in particular development stages of flax was stated. Low precipitation from sowing to yellow maturity promote high seeds yield while the higher one turned out to be necessary for high straw yield. The change of water factor may influence modification of usefulness properties depending upon plant use trend.
