abstract: The aim of presented work is to find correlations connection between NAO index (from Jones and from Hurrell) and thermal also precipitation conditions in north-east Poland. The meteorological data were obtained from four stations and period 1951-2000 years. The air temperature (means, max, min) and precipitation (sum and number from interval ³0.1; ³1.0; ³10.0) were analyzed. The most winter NAO indexes corresponded with annual indexes from periods 1951-2000 years. Analysis proved that circulations fluctuations described all air temperature parameters very well, especially during winter periods from December to March. Meanwhile precipitation not reveal so strong correlation wit dominant positive or negative NAO phase. Comparing Jones and Hurrell indexes (in cases they were over 1.5 of standard deviation) stated that Hurrell's NAO index pointed air temperature higher than Jones's ones at the all stations. The sum of precipitation showed lower value during positive phase characterized by Jones's indexes.
