abstract: The paper was prepared on the base of results from the field experiment on sprinkler irrigation and nitrogen fertilization of corn, carried out in the years 1995-2002 on a degraded meadow black earth in Kruszyn Krajeński near Bydgoszcz. Using data obtained under conditions of great differentiation of water and thermal factors, the yield features and the results of agrotechnical steps were made dependent upon meteorological factors. It was proved that the influence of water factor was significant in case of most of the features studied. Corn humidity during the harvest was dependent on the thermal factor. The dependences can be used in regionalization of corn cultivation, predicting its production and irrigation schedule.
