abstract: Soils and plants (Taraxacum officinale L.) samples from different ecosystems of Poland were investigated. Ni, Cr, Cd and Pb content were determined in the soils and particular parts of the plants. The Pb content were higher in upper parts of the plants, however Ni, Cr and Cd content were higher in roots. No particular dependence of the studied metals in plants and in the soil was found. The soil pH influenced only on the Cd content in plants.
