The use of dimension analysis for research on the problems of heat flow in warmed substrate

abstract: This work presents results of research on thermal problems in horticultural substrate warmed with heating wires. The dimension analysis was used to carry out the analysis of the influence of decision variables (temperature of heating water, environment temperature, substrate humidity, depth of placing the heating wires in the substrate) on the course of temperature changes in the substrate. Applying the procedure of the analysis, two criteria of similarity were derived, defining the range of application of received results for use in other objects. Also defined was the density of heat flux necessary for warming the substrate.
