abstract: The object of investigations was spring wheat cultivar Helia. The two-factor experiment was conducted in laboratory conditions. A semi-conductor laser (200 mW ) was used. The first factor were doses of laser radiation: control seeds – without radiation, dose D1 - 5×10-1 J×cm-2, dose D2 was double dose D1 and dose D3 - triple first one. The second factor was time of seed wetting in distilled water – 1, 2 and 3 hours. Parameters of sowing value – germination energy and germination capacity, and the morphological characteristics of seedlings – root, coleoptile and first leaf length – were estimated. The results of experiments were analyzed statistically. The results showed significant importance of seeds hydration degree in pre-sowing laser radiation effects manifestation with respect to sowing material value and biometrical characteristics of seedlings.
