abstract: In the vibration process of the disc drive gear casing of a fertilizer spreader two main amplitude-frequency components of the vibration can be determined: · disc imbalance, · secondary imbalance of the disc resulting from point-wise dosage of fertilizer flow. As a result of the imbalance process there occurs a change in the fertilizer particle trajectory. This has direct influence on the throw range and uniform fertilizer sowing depending on mass quantity of the fertilizer supply to the spreader disc. Analyses carried out show the necessity of fitting vibration signal transducers near the bearing housings of fertilizer spreader disc shaft for continuous monitoring of the condition of the system. Identified vibration parameters in the area of the disc drive will permit the implementation of onboard diagnostics of the quality of the machine operation.
