abstract:
Studies on the growth rate of crucian and german carp were made during the years 1998-2000 in two lakes situated in Poleski National Park: eutrophic lake Łukie and dystrophic lake Moszne. Both represent tench-pike habitats. In both lakes german carp showed the higher growth rate. Generally in lakes Łukie and Moszne the growth rates of crucian and german carp were lower or very close related to the results observed in other lakes of similar trophic status and habitat conditions.
