abstract: Influence of potato cultivars and soil and atmospheric conditions on the date of occurrence and the spreading rate of Phytophthora infestans was evaluated in 1993-1998. The experiment was performed in Parczew by means of randomized blocks in three replications. Model of multi-factor regression analysis accepted for estimation of dependencies between some traits of potato and chosen meteorological and soil elements of cultivated field appeared to be the most useful for estimation of late blight spread of potato tubers. It fulfilled the determination level required by many authors, which allows the method to be considered reliable.
