abstract: The aim of the paper was to determine the effect of heavy agricultural machinery passes on soil compaction by computation with the SOCOMO model. Wide range of inflation pressures and loads were analysed. Impact of tyre load and wide range of inflation pressure on soil stresses, and area of soil plastic deformation were determined using GoodYear tire 73x44.00-32. Increase of tyre load from 3 to 5 Mg caused increase of depth where plastic deformation occurs. Plastic deformation area was five times bigger at 5 than at 3 Mg load.
