abstract:
Species distribution of Cladocera was studied in deep, mesotrophic Lake Piaseczno (Łęczna-Włodawa Lakeland). There was a strong impact of biotic zones on quality of cladocerans as their species richness dropped towards the deepest part of the lake. There were great differences in seasonal changes of species diversity in particular biotic zones, which suggests an important role of macrophytes in forming habitat conditions.
