abstract: The paper presents the results of investigations on the separation effectiveness of sound and damaged by diseases and pests pea seeds by means of a photoelectric separator. A high level of effectiveness of damaged seeds separation was obtained, at ca. 97%, with sound seeds losses below 1%. Relationships describing the effectiveness of damaged seeds separation and losses of sound seeds in the function of belt feed speed were determined.
