abstract: The pot experiments were aimed at assessing the influence of liming (CaCO3, CaCO3+MgCO3) and sulphur fertilization (Na2SO4, elementary S) on growth and yielding of the spring rape. The results show that the best effect was observed in the objects limed with dolomite and fertilized with a higher dose of sulphur. The dose and form of the liming fertilizer together with the sulphur dose have brought about a significant increase in the rape yields. The applied factors have also increased the yields of rape seeds. The results prove, that acid soil reaction accompanied by insufficient amount of available forms of sulphur and magnesium limit the growth of generative organs of this plant.
