abstract: The field and laboratory experiments were carried out in 2006-2008, aiming at evaluating the influence of sowing material stimulation with magnetic field of 30 mT induction for 8 or 15 seconds on yielding and some technological features of two winter wheat varieties (Dorota and Olivin). It was found that pre-sowing stimulation of seed material did not significantly affect the wheat yielding, analysed elements of the yield structure and grain quality. Only the spike length and protein content decreased significantly. Regardless of the stimulation level, higher grain yields were achieved in the case of cv. Dorota. Grain of cv. Olivin had a significantly higher protein content in comparison of cv. Dorota.
