abstract: The effect of thermal disinfection methods on quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) seeds was studied. Thermotherapy was carried out using hot water and dry air at temperatures of 50oC, 60oC and 70oC. Evaluation of effectiveness of applied methods was executed on the basis of measurement of germination capacity and amount of remaining infections on seeds after the treatments. On the basis of the results it was assumed that the most acceptable effects of quinoa seeds disinfection were achieved by using wet thermotherapy and 15-minute duration of hot water treatment of the seeds.
