abstract:
The publication presents an analysis of the possibility of exploiting selected fractions of municipal and industrial wastes as alternative fuel. Production of the fuel takes place at the Wrocławskie Przedsiębiorstwo Oczyszczania ALBA S.A. and is used by Górażdże Cement S.A. During the examinations it was found that in 2008 WPO ALBA produced over 4 000 Mg of the alternative fuels. In 2008, Górażdże Cement S.A. used 178 876 Mg of the alternative fuels to produce cement. The processing of the waste to the alternative fuels contributes to a reduction of the wastes which are intended for neutralisation by storing.
