abstract: The objective of the study was to develop a mathematical model reflecting the relation between the level of unit dose of microwave radiation with frequency of 2.45 GHz, applied to irradiate seed potatoes of cv. Felka Bona, and the level of yield obtained after the vegetation period of the second-generation plants. Additionally, the study included determinations of the value of unit dose of microwave radiation producing the optimum effect on the yield of potato plants, the limit values of unit doses of microwave radiation the exceeding of which causes that the positive effect of microwaves on potato plants is no longer observed, and the model developed was subjected to verification and applied for the prediction of the mass of yield of potato plants grown from seed potatoes subjected to microwave irradiation. The regression model developed accounts for 93% of changes in the masss of yield of potato plants cv. Felka Bona with relation to the dose of microwave radiation.
