abstract: The paper presents the results of X-ray investigations of wheat and triticale grain susceptibility to endosperm damage. The experimental material originated from field experiments carried out at the Plant Breeding Station in Laski in 2005-2007 (experiment 1), and from experiments carried out on grain hybrids of Triticale at the Institute of Genetics, Breeding and Plants Biotechnology at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, in 2009 (experiment 2). The share of kernels with inner cracks, registered with the X-ray method, indicates an influence of genetic factors on the occurrence of this kind of damage.
