abstract:
The paper presents some selected results of the physical rapeseed properties. The characteristics examined together with rapeseed dimensions determine construction of the processing de-hulling equipment. Examinations were preceded by the determining of rapeseed geometric dimensions and strength characteristics, i.e. hardness and coefficients of static friction and restitution. The experimental material was rapeseeds var. Sponsor with humidity of 6.5% to 8.5%. Humidity was determined further to Polish Standard PN-EN ISO 665:1999. The removal of rapeseed coat makes elimination of harmful chemical compounds possible.
