abstract: In the present paper characteristics of geometrical dimensions such as: length, width and thickness of wheat kernels from winter varieties, i.e.: Zyta and Kris, and spring varieties, i.e.: Nawra and Broma, are presented. A clock-measure was applied for the measurement of geometrical dimensions. It was observed that the mean values of kernel geometrical parameters were higher in the case of winter wheat varieties than that of the spring ones. Analogical differences were also true for the qualitative features of Zyta and Nawra varieties as compared to low quality varieties of Kris and Broma.
