abstract: This paper presents results of air measurement in the rapeseed layer stored in pressure chambers simulating an industrial grain silo. The survey was conducted on spring rapeseed of the Star cultivars at two humidity levels of 6% and 11% and under pressure of 300 kPa. The results showed an increase in the airflow resistance of the seed layer tested with the time of storage. After 50 days of storage, the airflow resistance in the seed layer at 11% humidity was several times higher than in the seed layer at 6% humidity. It was concluded that the main reason for the change in the airflow resistance was deformation of the stored seeds.
