abstract: Effect of different initial soil moisture content and surface status was studied with rainfall simulator on soil developed from loamy sands. Studies showed that runoff was started almost directly from beginning of rainfall simulation and independently on initial soil conditions. Despite differences at the beginning of simulation, runoff achieved a comparable steady-rate level in all cycles of measurements. In contrast to this, large variation of wash among different cycles was observed. Conducted studies showed that loamy sand was very susceptible to runoff and wash processes.
