abstract:
The paper describes the main problems concerning the quality and quantity of meteorological and climate data available on the Internet. A brief characteristic of chosen global and local databases is presented, concentrating on time series, sort of data, manner of presentation, accessibility, and availability of advanced options. In some cases time series homogeneity is taken into account, as well as restrictions in the utilization of data and the related costs, if any.
