abstract: Electromagnetic field (radiation) is generated by appliances powered by or producing electricity, such as, e.g., computer monitors, television screens, etc. Biological processes are mainly regulated by electromagnetic signals affecting biochemical processes in living organisms. The aim of this study was to test the influence of magnetic field (radiation) on the seed germination process, the growth of Cordamine Ipatiens, and on vitamin C concentration in the plant sprouts. The magnetic field sources were TV and computer monitors. The germination process is depicted by means of a logistic curve. The speed of germination was calculated as well as the time necessary for the seeds to start germinating at a maximum speed under or without the magnetic field influence.
