abstract: The paper characterizes the layout of air temperature in the area of Poland in the years 1991-2000. In comparison with the normal period (1961-1990), the value of mean annual air temperature increased by 0.6 deg. C. The highest increase in temperature was noted in January & in February, respectively by 1.9 deg. & 1.5 deg. Celsius. In the west of Poland mean air temperatures in winter (Dec. to Feb.) are above zero.
