abstract: The paper presents the results of a 2-year study on the influence of fertilization with urea phosphate on content of macroelements in cranberry fruits. The experiment was carried out on four cultivars of cranberry: ‘Stevens’, ‘Searles’, ‘Ben Lear’ and ‘Piligrim’ in the Experimental Garden of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. In the spring of 2004 and 2005, the plantation was fertilized five times with a solution of urea phosphate in two doses: 4.5 kg N + 5 kg P + 10 kg K + 3.4 kg S ha-1 (I NPKS) and 9 kg N + 10 kg P + 20 kg K + 6.8 kg S ha-1 (II NPKS). The control plot was left without fertilization. The studies revealed important cultivar-related diversity of the content of mineral components. A higher content N, P and K in dry matter was obtained after applying higher doses of fertilizers.
