Investigations of the mechanical properties of thermoplastic starch

abstract: The influence of multiextrusion and processed blends composition on visco-elastic and mechanical properties of thermoplastic starch was investigated. It was observed that with glycerol percentage growth in the blend a decrease in the obtained material elasticity was recorded. The investigations showed that multiextrusion improves elasticity and mechanical strength of thermoplastic starch.
