abstract: In laboratory conditions, after pre-sowing laser stimulation, the sowing value and early development phases of spring and winter barley forms were estimated. The material for investigations were 8 spring forms: Barke, Binal, Edgar, Hanka, Jersey, Rastik, Rataj, Scarlett and 6 winter forms: Bażant, Bombay, Bursztyn, Carola, Gil and Gregor. Greater response to laser light was observed in the case of spring barley than of winter forms. Analysis of variance demonstrated stimulation of seedling length and interaction of cultivars with laser doses for all the features under study. For winter forms only interaction with seedling length was observed.
