abstract: A field experiment was established in 2004-2006 at Uhrusk Experimental Station of Lublin University of Agriculture. The experiment was conducted with the method of randomized split-plots designed with four replications. The grey-brown rendzina soil, formed from light loam, weak sandy, was classified in the very good rye complex. The objective of the study was the estimation of the technological quality of grain of spring wheat cv. Opatka and winter wheat cv. Korweta with relation to weather (hydrothermal) conditions. It was shown that for low values of Sielianinov hydrothermical index the grains wwere characterized by more protein, gluten and higher values of Zeleny sedimentation index. Grains of spring wheat (cv. Opatka) had more protein and gluten than those of winter wheat (cv. Korweta). Also they had higher Zeleny sedimentation index value, test weight and more ash.
