abstract: Material for the investigation comprised two bare-grained oat cultivars: Akt and Polar, STH 6102 and STH 6503 lines. The two-factor experiment was set up according to the method of independent series in three replications. Under controlled conditions of temperature and moisture the germination energy and germination capacity of oat kernels were estimated. Three different doses of semi-conductor laser radiation were applied, all of which induced significant stimulation of coleoptile length (over 20% compared to control). In the Akt cultivar an increase of germ root length after laser irradiation was observed.
