abstract: The paper presents selected results of tests performed on white mustard seeds after hulling and seed coat detaching. Image processing was performed with the help of ImageJ software. Analysis was concerned with mustard seeds view after impacts during seed coat removing. Image processing was performed based on currently known methods and on experiments. Mustard seed damage after hulling was presented with statistical parameters of area of mustard seed normal view. Area of detached section of seed coat after contact with blades of disc hulling machine with linear velocity of 24 m s-1 was measured. The average mustard seed moisture content during the experiments was 7.5%.
