abstract: The experiment using rainfall simulator on the silt loam soil was conducted. The soil detachability by rainfall under three intensities (17.7, 32.5 and 66.4 mm h-1) depending on ponding depth was studied. Critical depth of water h0 increased to values 5.3, 6.5 and 7.7 mm with increasing rainfall intensity respectively. Increase of mass of suspended soil was constant to critical value h0, while after crossing h0 was on the declined suddenly. Calculated value of loess soil detachability by rainfall amount to 0.439 g mm-1.
